Alawa Driving School NT | Art of Driving School Darwin

Make your everyday driving routines more reliable with support from Art of Driving School Darwin. We welcome Alawa drivers seeking lessons for existing skills, a mock assessment or a Class C practical test. Training enquiries can start with one recurring difficulty rather than a long list of tasks.

Driving Lessons for Alawa Drivers

An Alawa lesson may focus on moving off, approaching a junction and choosing a safe opportunity to proceed. Complete checks before committing the vehicle, then maintain control through the movement. Your instructor can help distinguish uncertainty about priority from a problem with timing or observation, so practice addresses the right cause. Driving Lessons

Class C Practical Driving Tests

Our MVR-accredited Class C examiner offers official assessments by appointment. An automatic test car is available; for manual testing, provide a suitable client vehicle. Attend the nominated meeting point where your test begins and ends. Alawa test bookings do not provide pickup or drop-off. Class C Driving Test | NT Government practical test information

Mock Assessment Options

A mock drive can reveal whether a corrected habit lasts beyond the first few minutes. Feedback on the whole journey helps you see how consistently you use observations and manage space when the situation changes. Mock Practical Driving Test

Preparing for Independent Driving

Understanding the purpose of an observation helps make it useful. During supervised preparation, think about what you need to see and how that information affects the decision you are about to make. Reviewing these habits during suitable supervised practice can help you identify what needs further attention. Focus on applying the same careful approach throughout the journey, including situations that initially appear straightforward. Drivers from Alawa can strengthen preparation by explaining the reason for a decision during supervised practice when appropriate. Knowing why you waited, slowed or changed position helps turn a coached response into an independent choice. Official tests require your own safe judgement. Driving Test Guide
